Nottingham-based software start-up is seeking a full-time Django/Front-End Developer to join our team. This is your chance to be part of an award winning UK technology company that’s disrupting an entire industry.

You should thrive on big challenges and be passionate about delivering a great customer experience. Ideally you should have two years of relevant experience, preferably in a web-based application provider or digital agency.

We need a great all-rounder with a focus on front-end and UI. Experience of the Django web framework is desirable. You’ll be reporting directly to the company CTO, responsibilities will include:

• Front-End JavaScript/CSS/HTML – You’ll be responsible for the continuous development and improvement of our application front-end. You’ll deliver elegant user interfaces and have an eye for well polished design.
  
  
• Web-App UI & Workflow – Our application has received fantastic feedback for its ease of use and intuitive workflow. You’ll be responsible for driving this forward even further as we build new features and expand the service.
  
  
• Corporate Website – You’ll also take ownership of our corporate website, refreshing the content and re-working section layouts as needed.
  
  
• Product Features – You’ll play a key part in our development roadmap. You’ll vote on and initiate new product features and keep up to date with industry trends and technologies. You’ll also bring some experience of Agile/SCRUM/XP.

You’ll have demonstrable experience with:

• CSS/HTML - In a cross-browser environment.
• JavaScript -  Especially jQuery
• DVCS - Ideally Mercurial 
• HTTP APIs – Development and consumption of HTTP APIs
• Data Presentation - Graphs, tables, widgets, etc.
• MVC Environments – Template-based page rendering
• Python/Django - Experience with our back-end is desirable

• Design & Photoshop Skills
• Personal projects (e.g. github/bitbucket)
• Open Source Contributions
• Linux Sysadmin Skills
  
  

You should be comfortable handcrafting HTML and CSS to deliver elegant code. You’ll have the confidence to take the initiative and stay focussed on the deliverables. You’ll obsess over the details (but know when to commit) and be happy working in a small team.
